THE BLOXEN WIKI
How to play
One persistent voxel world: build, claim, hunt, duel, fish and trade. This page covers every system in the game — numbers included.
Getting started
Open bloxen.io/play in any modern browser — phone or desktop, no download. Connect your Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack…) — your wallet is your account. Claim your unique character name once, and from then on that wallet logs straight into your character from any device.
Choose one of three classes — Bow, Warrior or Wizard — and you wake up at the town plaza carrying exactly three things:
- your class weapon (warriors also carry a Round Shield)
- a Reverse Scroll — a free trip back to town, always
- empty pockets: 0 BLX, no tools, no blocks
Everything else is earned. Punch a tree, craft a pickaxe, mine, build, fish — the whole economy starts at zero. Your character is saved to your wallet on the server; log in from any device and continue.
Controls
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| W / S | walk forward / back |
| A / D | turn (Keyboard mode) or strafe (Crosshair mode) |
| Mouse | free gold cursor — aim, mine, click mobs/players to target |
| Left click | hold to mine; click a mob or duelist to lock on |
| Right click | place block / use doors, chests, signs, trapdoors |
| Right drag | precision camera look |
| Middle click | pick the block you're aiming at into your hotbar |
| Space / Shift | jump / sneak (sneak won't walk off edges) |
| 1 · 2 · 3 | class skills |
| 4 – 9 | hotbar items (mouse wheel cycles) |
| E / C | inventory / crafting |
| Enter | chat |
| M / O / V | map / options / camera (behind → orbit → first person) |
| F | talk to Old Finn at the pier |
Press O to pick one of three control schemes — Keyboard (free cursor, A/D turns), Crosshair (FPS mouse-look) or Mouse steering (push the cursor to a side to turn). Your choice, sensitivity and hotbar layout are saved to your character. On phones you get a joystick and touch buttons automatically.
The world
There is exactly one world. No server lists, no resets — every chunk anyone has ever edited is persisted forever.
- Town — the protected spawn. Town Hall, Golden Vault Bank (your private vault), library, tavern, general store, smithy and the fishing pond with Old Finn's pier. Nothing can be built or broken here.
- The Wildmoor — the hunting grounds east of town. Protected ground, full of monsters (see below).
- The Duel Ring — the PvP arena south of town, marked in gold on your map.
- Everywhere else — yours to mine and build. Natural blocks you break (trees, stone, ores) grow back after ~5 minutes; player-built blocks never regenerate.
Press M for the world map — it renders terrain you haven't even visited yet, plus claim plots and zone borders.
Mining & tools
Hold left click to dig. Harder blocks take longer; the right tool makes it fast:
| Tool | Speed | Durability | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wood pickaxe / axe | ×2.5 | 64 | coal ore |
| Stone pickaxe / axe | ×4 | 144 | iron ore |
| Iron pickaxe / axe | ×7 | 320 | gem ore |
Picks speed up stone, bricks, plaster and ore; axes speed up everything wooden. Ores need a minimum tier or they drop nothing — the target label warns you. Caves wind underground; the deeper you go, the richer the veins (and the darker — bring torches).
Building & crafting
Press C for the crafting panel — recipes are grouped into Materials, Shapes, Fittings, Furniture, Colors, Tools, Weapons and Claims. Highlights:
- Shapes — stairs, slabs, wedges and roof corners in every material; gable triangles; horizontal log beams.
- Fittings — doors, fence gates, trapdoors and window shutters (right-click to swing), vertical half panels, ladders.
- Furniture — bed (two blocks long), table, chair, bookshelf, crates, carpets… and signs: place one, type a name, and everyone sees it. Only you can edit your sign.
- Colors — 7 plaster colors, 7 dyed plank colors, 4 stained glasses.
Some recipes — glass, stone, bricks, iron tools, all weapons — need a furnace within 4 blocks and consume coal. Craft one from 8 cobblestone.
Storage: chests are shared (anyone can open them unless your claim seals them — see Claim Robots); the bank vault in town is private to you, forever.
Classes & combat
| Class | HP | Range | Cooldown | Identity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bow | 130 | 18 | 5.0s | 22% crit chance for ×2–×5 damage |
| Warrior | 150 | 3 | 5.5s | shields block hits entirely (30–43%) |
| Wizard | 100 | 14 | 3.2s | fastest casts in the game |
Skills unlock at levels 1, 10 and 20 and sit on hotbar keys 1-2-3. Your class weapon must be in your hand — not just in the bag.
Targeting: click a monster (or a duelist in the Ring) to lock on — your character walks into range and lands basic attacks automatically every 1.4s while skills recharge. Basics hit for ~45% of your opening skill.
The level-gap rule works both ways, Silkroad style: each level of difference shifts damage ±8% (capped between ×0.3 and ×2.2). A level 20 hits a level 1 mob much harder — and a level 20 monster will flatten a beginner.
Weapons & gear
| Tier | Bow | Warrior | Wizard | Shield | Damage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lv 1 | Hunter Bow | Hero Sword | Arcane Staff | Round (30%) | ×1.0 |
| Lv 5 | Ranger Bow | Knight Sword | Ember Staff | Kite (34%) | ×1.3 |
| Lv 10 | Storm Bow | Rune Sword | Storm Staff | Tower (38%) | ×1.7 |
| Lv 20 | Dragon Bow | Dragon Sword | Dragon Staff | Dragon (43%) | ×2.2 |
All crafted at a furnace: Lv 5 wants iron (5 iron, 3 coal, 6 planks), Lv 10 wants gems (3 gems, 8 iron, 4 coal), Lv 20 wants a fortune (8 gems, 16 iron, 8 coal). You can craft ahead of your level, but a weapon refuses to fire until you reach its level. Higher tiers glow — everyone around you can see what you're carrying.
Gear slots (head, chest, feet, cape) are ready for the cosmetic drops to come.
Leveling
Level cap is 20. Each level needs 130 × level XP — the climb is meant to take days, not an evening.
- Monsters are the main source. Roughly 3 same-level kills carry you through the early levels; rewards decay if you farm grey mobs.
- Fishing trickles XP (1–40 per catch) but pays real money — it's a wallet job, not a shortcut.
Level-ups are announced to the whole server in chat.
Fishing & the BLX economy
Buy a rod from Old Finn at the pier (press F near him), aim at water and cast. When the bobber bites you have about a second to reel — click again.
| Rod | Price | Bite time | Rare luck |
|---|---|---|---|
| Willow Rod | 25 BLX | 4–9s | — |
| Oakheart Rod | 250 BLX (Lv 2) | 3–7s | ×1.8 |
| Diamond Rod | 5,000 BLX | 2–5s | ×3.5 |
| Catch | Sells for |
|---|---|
| Tetra | 3 BLX |
| Red Snapper | 7 BLX |
| Goldfish | 22 BLX |
| Royal Koi | 80 BLX |
| Anglerfish | 320 BLX |
BLX is the in-game currency — and you start with zero. Your first fish are your first paycheck; spend them on rods today; the player market and the on-chain Solana bridge are next on the roadmap. Wallet login already works.
Claim Robots
The land-ownership system. Craft a Claim Robot (2 gems, 4 iron, 8 planks, 2 coal — furnace) and place it:
- a 33×33 column around it becomes yours for 15 days — blocks unbreakable, doors and chests sealed to everyone else
- feed it Claim Cores (1 gem, 2 iron, 1 coal) to extend, up to a 45-day bank
- you can run 3 robots; the robot itself is indestructible while the claim is active
- dismantle it yourself anytime and it returns to your bag
If the claim expires, the robot turns vulnerable: anyone can smash it (it drops nothing) and your land — chests included — becomes the server's next raid. Keep it fed, or build like you don't mind visitors.
Active claims show as gold squares with the owner's name on the map.
The Wildmoor
The hunting field east of town, split into four level zones from west to east:
| Monster | Level | Temper |
|---|---|---|
| Mushnub | 1 | peaceful until hit |
| Armabee | 5 | aggressive, flies |
| Yeti | 10 | aggressive |
| Elder Dragon | 20 | the boss |
Click a monster to engage. Mind the zone borders — aggressive mobs will chase you across the moor. Going down just sends you back to the plaza at full HP; you never lose items to a monster.
The Duel Ring
The walled arena south of town. Step inside and PvP switches on — click another player in the ring to lock on, and the full combat system applies: skills, basics, crits, shield blocks, weapon tiers, level gaps.
- both fighters must be inside the ring — one step out and you're untouchable
- no item loss: a knockout sends the loser to the plaza at full HP
- victories are announced to the whole server in chat
Chat
- Enter — global chat; what you say also appears in a bubble over your head
- /w name message — private whisper (also /dm, /pm); click any name in the log to prefill it
- /who — who's online; /help — command list
Messages cap at 140 characters, about one per second. Level-ups and duel victories are announced in gold.
Damage & safety
- Falling — safe up to ~4.5 blocks, then 4 HP per extra block (capped at 50). Water cancels all fall damage.
- Knockouts — from falls, monsters or duels — wake you at the town plaza, fully healed. You never drop items.
- Town, Wildmoor and the Duel Ring are protected ground: no building, no breaking, by anyone.
Tips
- Place a block under your own feet — you'll hop on top of it automatically. One-click towers.
- Middle-click any block in the world to put it straight into your hotbar.
- Trees, stone and ore regrow about 5 minutes after you break them — your buildings never decay.
- The Reverse Scroll in your bag is a free trip back to town (2s cast, 5 min cooldown) and can't be lost.
- Keep valuables in the town bank until your claim robot is up — chests in the open are lootable.
- Shields work from your bag: warriors just need to own the best one they can use.
- Your control scheme, sensitivity and hotbar follow your account onto any device.
